Your First Visit

Visiting without stress

Visiting a new dental office doesn’t have to be stressful. At Zelda Court Dental Care, your first appointment is about understanding your smile, answering your questions, and mapping out a plan that fits your needs.

We take the time to listen, explain your options, and make sure you feel confident about your care from the moment you walk through the door.

What to Expect During Your First Appointment

Your first visit usually begins with a thorough oral exam, followed by a discussion of the procedures needed to care for your smile. In many cases, treatment can begin on the same day.

If your needs are more complex, or if your medical history requires careful evaluation, we may schedule a follow-up appointment to ensure your care is handled in a safe, effective way.

Preparing for Your Visit

To help your appointment go smoothly, please bring:

  • Previous dental records or x-rays if you have them, so we can review your dental history.
  • A list of current medications to ensure your treatment plan is safe and appropriate.
  • Dental insurance information and completed forms, which allows us to assist with claims and reduce wait times.
  • Parent or guardian if the patient is under 18 years old.

Medical Considerations

Please let us know if you have any medical conditions that could affect treatment or your eligibility for sedation, such as heart problems, diabetes, or a history of rheumatic fever.

Also, inform us of any medications you take, including blood thinners or aspirin. All this information helps us provide care tailored to your health.

X-Rays

If you have recent x-rays from another dentist or physician, ask them to forward the images to us. If that isn’t possible, you can bring them with you. Should additional x-rays be needed, we can take them right here in our office.
